Walmart issues nationwide recalls: See list of products
The largest retailer in the nation recalled several products sold nationwide.
In June, Walmart added three products to the company’s list of items that have been recalled.
FreshRealm Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
An outbreak linked to chicken alfredo meals prompted a recall for the product, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Across the states, 17 people have reported being ill from the dish in 13 states. As of June 17, there have been three reported deaths and one fetal loss associated with this outbreak.
The Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) is investigating the matter but have yet to find the establishment or product ingredients that are causing the contamination.
“FSIS also used purchase records from two ill people to trace purchased chicken fettuccine alfredo products to FreshRealm establishments,” the USDA statement reads. “An additional two ill people verbally described chicken fettuccine alfredo products they purchased. FSIS identified products produced by FreshRealm that matched the descriptions during follow-up at the retail stores where they shopped. This investigation is ongoing.”
