Sainsbury’s and Lidl have issued urgent product recalls over safety concerns after a number of items have been taken off shelves due to health and safety risks.

The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issues Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food. In some cases, a ‘Food Alert for Action’ is issued which provides local authorities with details of specific action to be taken on behalf of consumers, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Anyone who has bought a product impacted by a recall is urged to return to the store for a full refund and told, “Do not consume” the product.

Below is a list of recent recall products from Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco and Lidl:

The products have been labelled with the incorrect use-by date June 24, 2026, instead of use-by June 24, 2025. The products are therefore not safe to eat beyond their intended use-by of 24 June this year.
