A number of products have been recalled from stores due to health and safety risks. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) has issued recall alerts. If there is a problem with a food product that means it should not be sold, then it might be taken off the shelves.

The FSA issues Product Recall Information Notices to let consumers and local authorities know about problems associated with food. In some cases, a ‘Food Alert for Action’ is issued. This provides local authorities with details of specific action to be taken on behalf of consumers.

Shoppers who are in possession of a product impacted by a recall are urged to return to the store for a full refund and told, “Do not consume” the product. Recent recalls are products from Asda, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Lidl and Dunnes. You can see the latest recalls below.

Pieminister Pies

Pieminister Kitchens is recalling various Pieminister pies as they have been labelled with an incorrect use-by date. The products have been labelled with “use-by June 24, 2026,” instead of use-by June 14, 2025.” The products are therefore not safe to eat beyond their intended use-by of 24 June this year.
