Ariens Deluxe — Platinum — and Professional Series Snow Throwers recalled due to injury hazard
Health Canada issued a recall notice Feb. 6 for certain Ariens Deluxe — Platinum — and Professional series snow throwers. The recalled products sold in a bright orange colour and are equipped with either rear wheels or tracks.

The Health Canada recall notice says the snow throwers may contain non-conforming parts, specifically a non-conforming brake arm, an attachment-drive belt or both. As a result of the non-conforming parts, the recalled snow thrower assembly auger and impeller may continue rotating even after the operator control lever is released, which poses a “laceration hazard” to users who may reach toward a rotating auger at the front of the machine inside the housing enclosure.
As of Feb. 6, the company has neither received reports of incidents or injuries in Canada nor in the United States.
Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled products and contact Ariens Company or an authorized dealer for a free repair. The dealer locator is available at www.ariens.com/en-us/dealer-locator.

Duluth Trading Company children’s holiday pyjama Sets recalled due to flammability hazard
Duluth Trading’s two-piece children’s holiday pyjama sets sold in four styles — holiday birch truck, classic red, Christmas beaver and mountain green — have been recalled.
The pyjamas top and bottom are red, white and green. The pyjama sets were sold in children’s sizes 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.
“Duluth Trading Company” and “Made in Cambodia” are printed on the neck label, and “K0040, 3237-92” and “HBT,” “CRE,” “CBV” or “MNG” on the side-seam label.
The Health Canada recall notice published Feb. 5 says the children’s pyjamas don’t comply with the flammability requirements for children’s sleepwear, which poses a risk of burn injuries to children.
The company reported that 13 units of the affected products were sold in Canada between October 2019 to November 2024.
“Loose-fitting children’s sleepwear can contact ignition sources such as stove elements, candles, and matches more readily than tight-fitting sleepwear, and once ignited will burn rapidly, potentially resulting in severe burns to large areas of the child’s body,” Health Canada warns.
As of Jan. 30, the company has received no reports of incidents or injuries in Canada.
Consumers are urged to immediately stop using the recalled product and contact Duluth Trading for a full refund of the full price in the original form of payment or as store credit.
