Deodorant brand Power Stick is recalling 67,214 cases sold nationwide at Walmart, Dollar Tree and Amazon.

Here’s what you need to know about the recall.

Which brands of deodorant were recalled?

Parent company A.P. Deauville recalled several brands of deodorant, including the following, according to the FDA:

  • “Power fresh”-scented Power Stick for Her Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant
  • “Spring fresh”-scented Power Stick Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant
  • Power Stick Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On Antiperspirant Deodorant

The “Power fresh”-scented roll-on antiperspirant had the UPC code 815195019313 and NDC# 42913-038-00 while the “Spring fresh”-scented Invisible Protection Roll-On had the UPC code 815195018194 and NDC# 42913-039-00.

The Original Nourishing Invisible Protection Roll-On had the UPC code 815195018224 and NDC# 42913-040-00.

Why was the deodorant recalled?

The deodorant was recalled due to manufacturing errors that failed to comply with U.S. Food and Drug Administration regulations, according to the FDA.

The FDA calls these “cGMP deviations,” or Current Good Manufacturing Practice for short.

While these regulations didn’t go into detail about what was wrong with the product, these regulations are designed to keep safety in mind.

Where was the recalled deodorant sold?

The deodorant was shipped nationwide and sold at Walmart, Dollar Tree and online on Amazon.

What should consumers do if they have the recalled deodorant?

Consumers should stop using the products immediately and either discard them or return them to their place of purchase.
