Check your pantry! The Food and Drug Administration announced the recalls of several snack foods that could be in your home.

Do you have one of these chocolate or nut products affected by a FDA recall?
Cal Yee Farm LLC launched a recall in December for certain snacks sold under the Cal Yee’s, Cal Yee Farm, Boa Vista Orchards brand names in December. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recall has been upgraded to the highest risk factor products that might have undeclared food ingredients, including milk, soy, wheat, sesame, FD&C #6 and almonds.
A Class I recall means “there is a reasonable probability that the use of or exposure to a violative product will cause serious adverse health consequences or death,” according to the FDA.
The national food safety organization also recalled several chocolate treats — like nutrition bars, candy bars and cookies — and protein powder in the past few weeks over undeclared milk or nut ingredients that could harm someone with a food allergy.
Check your pantry to see if you bought any of these products in stores or online. Here’s what we know.
What nut and chocolate snack products are affected?
Chocolate- and yogurt-covered treats made by Cal Yee Farm LLC of Suisun Valley, California, have been recalled over potential undeclared allergens.
According to the FDA, products include: “Dark Chocolate Walnuts, Dark Chocolate Raisins, Dark Chocolate Almonds, Yogurt Coated Almonds and Dark Chocolate Apricots (sold under Cal Yee’s or Cal Yee Farm brands), Tropical Trail Mix, Butter Toffee.” These items might have had undeclared milk ingredients.
Other items in the recall are “Almonds (sold under Cal Yee’s and Boa Vista Orchards brands), Mango with Chili, Hot Cajun Sesame Sticks, New Orleans Hot Mix, Fruit Basket 2909 and Fruit Basket 2921 because they may contain undeclared milk, soy, wheat, sesame, FD&C #6 and almonds.”
These were sold at stores in California, Arizona, Virginia, New Mexico, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, Ohio and Pennsylvania, but people also could have bought them online at calyeefarm.com or the Boa Vista Orchards store.
Check the FDA listing for the brand, product name, size and allergen to see if your treats are safe for you and your family.
Do you have these recalled chocolate nutrition bars?
The FDA has also recalled nutrition bars sold at stores and online via Amazon, Costco Wegmans and Giant Eagle. NuGo Dark Chocolate Chip and Dark Chocolate Pretzel possibly had undeclared milk ingredients., which could be life-threatening for some people.
They were sold in 12- or 18-pack boxes. Best by dates are through December 2025. Check out the FDA recall page for more information if you think you have a box that’s part of the recall.
Check your pantry for these cookies
D. Coluccio & Sons recalled 300 gram packages of Colussi Cantuccini Chocolate Drops. The chocolate chip cookies could have undeclared almonds, which could cause a serious or deadly reaction for people allergic to tree nuts.
The treats were sold nationwide in stores and online. The affected batch has a blue bag, with UPC 8002590006020 and has lot #’s 3540152 BBD 15-01-2025 and lot # L354150 BBD 29-05-2025, according to the FDA site for the recall.
These candy bars might have tree nuts
Gardners Candies is recalling Cappuccino Meltaway® Bars that might contain undeclared cashews. They were sold in stores and online at gardnerscandies.com.
The batch being recalled was on sale, starting in September and have an expiration date of 08/27/25. They were sold individually and in the Meltaway Treat Box, according to the FDA.
Protein powder is in voluntary recall over possible peanut residue
Orgain has recalled one batch of 30g Protein Organic Plant Based Powder – Chocolate 2.01lb that might have undeclared peanut residue. The company launched the voluntary recall after an allergic report from one customer, according to the FDA.
The product was sold in stores and online across the nation. it’s in a two-pound tub with a bule label. The expeiration date is, June 20, 2026, and the product lot code is 4172-02-P.
What’s a food allergy?
Food allergies affect about 6% of the population, according to the CDC. Kids are more likely to be affected, and reactions can be as mild as a tingling sensation in the mouth. More extreme cases can lead to hive and trouble breathing. Anaphylactic shock can be fatal.

- Peanuts.
- Tree nuts.
- Fish.
- Shellfish.
- Soy.
- Wheat.
