All pack sizes are affected as well as all batches and best before dates. Establishment approval number is IE 4008 EC.

The warning has been issued as Listeria monocytogenes infection can include mild flu-like or gastrointestinal symptoms such as nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea.

In rare cases, the infection can be more severe, causing serious complications. Some people are more vulnerable to Listeria monocytogenes infections, including pregnant women, babies and people with weakened immune systems, including the elderly. The time between initial infection and first symptoms appearing is on average three weeks but can range between three and 70 days.

Retailers have been requested to remove the implicated products from sale and wholesalers/distributors are encouraged to contact their affected customers

The FSAI have advised consumers not to eat the implicated products and dispose of them if purchased previously.
