The OPSS says its primary purpose it to “protect people and places from product-related harm, ensuring consumers and businesses can buy and sell products with confidence.” The government department is responsible for the regulation of many things. Information on products that present a risk to health and safety is provided by OPSS.

Regulation is excluding food, medicines, and vehicles. are just some of the stores that have recalled products. They apply regulations across the product lifecycle from design, accreditation and manufacture through to labelling, supply, end use and safe disposal.
