What to Know About Costco’s Latest Recall Announcements

  • Wholesale retailer Costco has issued multiple product recalls since the beginning of 2025.
  • These recalls are widespread, affecting items in home, tech, auto, food and drink.
  • For further details on recalls, visit Costco’s Recalls & Product Notices page.

Based on the sheer number of articles we’ve written about Costco, it’s clear that Good Housekeeping and our readers are big fans of the wholesaler. But as great as we think they are, no retailer is exempt from the world of product recalls. Like most other big-name stores in 2025, Costco’s number is being called.

Since the beginning of the year, Costco has recalled different items across a variety of categories, including home, tech, auto, food and drink. These revocations span from window air conditioners and power banks to pressure cookers and mineral water.

The retailer recently updated its list on the Recalls & Product Notices page to include all of the latest recalls, and it includes some you may not have heard about yet.

Recent recalls

RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches and RITZ Filled Cracker Sandwich Variety Pack were recalled this week due to a labeling error where the Cheese variety may actually contain peanut butter. “People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to peanuts may risk serious or life-threatening allergic reactions by consuming this product,” the Food and Drug Administration stated.

Anker also issued a recall on two power banks sold through their CostcoNext page. The
Anker Powercore 1000 Power Bank and Anker Power Bank (10K, 22.5W) — Model A1257 were both recalled this year due to faulty lithium-ion batteries that can overheat
, posing a potential fire risk. These are wide-spanning recalls, impacting power banks sold from June 1, 2016 to December 31, 2022 — a notable six and a half year stint.

But that’s not all. Midea and Danby have issued recalls, affecting seven different window air conditioner models. The units are being recalled due to pooling water and a lack of drainage, which can lead to mold growth and respiratory issues. Danby is urging owners of the recalled 8,000 BTU U-Shaped Window Air Conditioner model to “stop using it immediately.”

Costco’s auto department has also experienced a few recalls. Bridgestone issued a recall in May on their Blizzak 6 Tires due to a missing label, which failed Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS). Michelin issued a tire recall, stating “chunks of tread rubber may detach from the shoulder block” of their Agilis CrossClimate C-Metric Tires. Both of these recalled items can be identified using numbers located on the tire’s sidewall.

Outside the Costco items just named, there are several more products that have been recalled since the beginning of the year. Information on those items can be found below.
