I’m glad we live in a time where companies are doing the right thing and recalling their products when something goes wrong, just like Mondelez Global LLC did earlier this week.

A NATIONWIDE RITZ CRACKER SANDWICH RECALL
Mondelez Global LLC announced a voluntary recall on July 8th, 2025, of RITZ Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches and RITZ Filled Cracker Sandwich Variety Pack Cartons, due to an error in packaging that could cause serious, life-threatening allergic reactions to some of their consumers.
Four carton sizes of Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches in packages of 8, 20, and 40-pack cartons may have had individually wrapped packs incorrectly labeled as a cheese-type of cracker sandwich, even though it was a peanut butter variety.
Even though the outer packaging was correct, they still did the right thing due to people having severe sensitivity to peanuts.
The company is taking corrective actions to make sure the issue doesn’t happen again, and so far, there have been no reports of anyone being affected by this error.
