The US Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service has recalled 6 products this month, expanded 1 recall, and issued 3 health alerts for meat and poultry. This is more than in May, which had 5 recalls and 4 health alerts.
Recalls were due to being produced without inspection (2 products), undeclared allergens (2 products), import violation, and possible Listeria contamination. The health alerts issued consisted of undeclared allergens, possible E. Coli, and produced without the benefit of inspection.
