This weekend is expected to have some very nice summer weather, making it ideal for enjoying a day at your favorite beach.

“The weather for this weekend overall looks very nice for enjoying our beautiful state,” said MLive meteorologist Mark Torregrossa in his weekend forecast. “There is just one period of rain in our weekend.”

The rain will come Saturday and should only last one or two hours anywhere in Michigan, the forecast says. Northern Michigan will likely see rain Saturday morning while its expected to be over the southern half of Lower Michigan in the late afternoon or evening. Friday and Sunday will both be dry and sunny.
